| The Prado is one of the most famous art museums in the world. Prominent and rare works of Velazquez, Goya, El Greco, and amazing Flemish artworks are awaiting your praise. The museum itself is an architectural beauty. National Museum of Art or The Queen Sofia National Center of Art offers you the splendid works from the of Queen Sofia’s collection of 20th century art and much renowned works of Miro, Juan Gris, Dali, Julio Gonzalez and Picasso. The Picasso's moving masterpiece - 'Guernica' is a very interesting one among them. The National Archeological Museum is the second most prominent museum after Prado in Madrid. It has a marvelous collection of Islamic art. The Caixa Forum Museum is one of a must-see sight in Madrid which was built by the French botanist Patrick Blanc. It is a beautiful place with its vertical garden and a wide variety of species. Museo Tiflológico is the blind museum. The Thyssen-Bornemisza, Goya Museum, Fundación Lázaro Galdiano, Archaeological Museum, Museo Sorolla and Naval Museum are some other museums worth a visit. Madrid Cathedral is Madrid’s largest and most famous Cathedral. Templo de Debod is an Egyptian temple from the 2nd century BC. |

| Plaza Mayor is the main square centrally located in the city. It is a beautiful place which bustles with life and very apt for people watching and trying some Spanish wines. Flamenco dance is a specialty of Madrid. Take a night out in a Flamenco restaurant and don’t forget to try some Spanish food like Tapas. Plaza de Cibeles is a square of much importance, apart from being home to the Bank of Spain. It will be a wonderful experience to take an open-top bus trip around the place. Gran Via is a famous street in Madrid, and it is showed in films many times! For more exciting experience watch a bullfight live and if you felt drained then have chocolate con churros which will surely freshen you up. At Retiro Park you can relax and have some quiet time. Some other great places to visit are El Escorial, Royal Palace, Toledo, Plaza de la Villa, Puerta del Sol etc. |
