| The Cathedrals and cemeteries of Dublin is said to have their own souls. It'll be worth your visit whether for soul searching or out of curiosity. St Patrick's Cathedral is the largest cathedral in Dublin and it is also the National Cathedral. Christ Church Cathedral is another remarkable work. St. Mary's Pro-Cathedral, Whitefriar Street Carmelite Church and St. Michan's Church are some other less renowned but beautiful cathedrals. Cemeteries of Dublin await us with so many untold stories, shimmering emotions and hopes. Glasnevin Cemetery hold more graves than the population of Dublin and there are guided tours available on Wednesdays and Fridays at 2.30 in the afternoon. Mount Jerome Cemetery is the most interesting cemetery in and around 47 acres with its weeping angels and other symbolic architectures. |

Kilmainham Gaol or Kilmainham Jail with its cold cells and tall border walls will tell you unimaginable stories. Phoenix Park and Dublin Zoo are very good places for the families. The Dublin Zoo is just at the center of the park. Castletown House was built for William Conolly in 1722-32. It is now own and run by the State. Guinness Storehouse is a place for the Guinness fans, a must visit. Swords Castle, South Wall and Poolbeg Lighthouse, O'Connell Street and the General Post Office , Howth and Ireland's Eye are some other places of beauty and importance. |
