Entertainment in Copenhagen

Go through the Latin Quarters which is famous for its fabulous boutiques, jazz clubs, music stores and second hand bookstores. Have fun at the Bakken, which is a place the citizens of Denmark prefer to have fun. Round Tower was built in 1642 by King Christian IV and the view from the tower is absolutely marvelous. We can spend our day in and around the canal areas, by either having a canal tour or just by strolling around the canal proximities. Don’t forget to try some Danish recipes in the traditional ways.

Copenhagen History

Visiting the historic sites of Copenhagen will be an enlightening experience. Amalienborg Palace is the home of the Royal families since 18th century. Guided tours are available at the palace and we can have the privilege to mingle with the Royal family, observe their lifestyles and customs including the guard changing at every noon. The official Royal costume gallery is also a very admirable sight. Visiting Kronborg Castle will surely be a fine gesture of respect for the Copenhagen History. Little Mermaid is the National symbol of Denmark and the most photographed statue in Denmark. Visiting this art work would be just perfect on an evening with the setting sun adding more colour. Carlsberg Brewery is a family owned property with provisions for tasting and understanding the whole process and the historical museum offers a very educating experience. Visiting Christiansborg Palace, Helligandskirken [the oldest church here, built in 1400], Kronborg Slot, Rådhus - the town hall of Copenhagen and Charlottenborg - a remarkable collection of fine arts will be an outstanding experience.

The Museum Louisiana can be considered as the temple of modern art. The National Museum is a marvelous one which anyone can explore to any depth. Tivoli Gardens will bring back the childhood in you with its fairytale style. Visiting The Botanical Garden will enlighten your mind with the possible explorations of endangered species.

Shop at Copenhagen

We can indulge in serious shopping activity in and around the Stroget street in Copenhagen which also happens to be the longest one. There are also some places worth visiting in the Stroget like the Stork Fountain, the Church of The Holyspirit, the oldest department’s store etc.
